here is a real cool idea that sorta comes from my server but its good overall for a server of populations 2-50 people
and its called.....
PLAYER HOUSEING!
i had player houseing on my server cause i had the Computer power to sustain it for my population and have a balanced list of everything
this is how i did it
1. i posted a topic on my forum with a tiny list of priceing for the buildings based on style and size and there mod ability sorta like this one
Orc barracks-10000G
Human barracks 12500G
Normal Sized House 2500G
Object/NPC Removal costs PER 5-2000G
Land (PER FENCE) 300g
all buildings comeing unfurnished
2. i quoted on the topic that people are to contact a ADMIN and to nagotiate prices for furniture/buildings objects such as "Benches Beds posters Guards ETC"
mostly went for 20-80G each somewhat what they are worth in real life.
3.once i got a request in game VIA Text i would go to the client and begin negotiateing costs for building placement and talk about what they will use the building for and what they sort of want it to feel like and what it would look like somewhat and if they would like a backyard and how much land they want and ETC then talk about where they want the building.
4.i would place the building after removeing any NPCs and objects in the way of the ground geting the gold from the player VIA trade for each NPC/object removed and the cost for building and then make sure it is stable makeing sure there are no cliping on the inside and out then lay fences around the land the player wants for them to own which was 300g PER FENCE of land which is pretty cheap.
5.then i would begin placeing objects that the player wants and get the gold from him/her.
6.i would say good bye and enjoy or something like that.
7. i would go onto the forums and post a topic talking about who owns what and where with exact cordinates of what they own incase someone wants an intruder out of there place
this is mostly a bit of a template for ya guys for player houseing atleast this is how i did it on my server when it was online its a pretty amazeing thing if you have the computer procssessor and memory for it depending on your population and what sorta type of people you have in your server i owned a RP server so this was one of those needed features
